Yes, it's Korean barbeque, but the New York location of owner Young Sook Choi's small chain of restaurants goes way beyond just bulgogi and banchan. In the middle of each marble table is a grill, where diners cook everything from striped bass and sea scallops to filet mignon and Long Island duck breast. If you feel like letting the staff do all of the work, you can always order the prepared dishes like the spicy sautéed baby octopus, flash-fried calamari and roasted spare ribs in soy-chili sauce. Pair your food with an Asian-inspired cocktail, Korean or Japanese beer, or a glass of wine (all discounted during happy hour, daily from 5pm-7pm). The dining room mixes modern design elements with traditional Asian influences, with screens sectioning off tables surrounded by black leather chairs. During lunch, you can get a lunch box featuring one entrée, salad, rice, miso soup and a side dish for $15.—Keith Wagstaff
