In the front window, a better advertisement than any poster or sign: rows of plump, browned chickens resting on grills. Those chickens are the reason most people come here; juicy on the inside with a nice char on the outside, you can order half of one for only $6 and get a side of rice, green salad and piece of pita bread for an extra $1.50. The rest of the menu is made up of Mediterranean classics like kebabs, shawarma, falafel, baba ganoush and more. Décor isn¹t really a priority here; enter to find a long, glass counter behind which rests a variety of dishes and desserts. The dingy tile floors and hum of the television don¹t exactly make one want to linger. Most people either stop in for a quick lunch or opt for take-out or delivery. Big Arc takes advantage of its location near NYU and the hospital by offering a 10 percent discount to students and hospital staff for orders more than $10.—Keith Wagstaff
