While Chef Laurent Tourondel, the LT in the BLT (Bistro Laurent Tourondel), is no longer a partner in the restaurant, BLT Prime is still a hot destination for serious carnivores. The space has a sleek and stately feel without the excess masculinity that overwhelms other massive steakhouses. Near the entrance, large glass windows provide a peek into the 30-foot dry-aging room where the restaurant finishes its 30 different cuts of meat. The bi-level space, with its beige walls, suede banquettes and dark wooden tables, attracts everyone from suited businessmen to PYTs ready for a night out. The menu is large, but most people come here for one reason?the meat, like the bacon-crusted flatiron steak, the American wagyu ribeye and the 40 oz. porterhouse steak for two. Seafood, like grilled branzino and ginger-crusted tuna, is also on the menu. Choose from hundreds of wines from Europe and the Napa Valley.—Keith Wagstaff
