Brooklynite Gallery isn't as overtly "hipster" as one might expect, rather its more about roots Brooklyn, bringing street art from all over the world to a borough where street art is the particularly prominent genre. This Bed-Stuy gallery is located in the modest storefront of a two-story building, a stand-out bit of modern architecture on an otherwise quiet residential block. It's hard to tell whether the art lovers and tourists that pack the small space are gentrifying the neighborhood or reviving it or both. It's something of a trek out to the Utica AC station, but its worth it to see the work of elusive artists like Peru Ana Ana Peru collected in one place.
