Of the handful of Nigerian restaurants in town, this is the one most ready for prime time, reflecting a longtime Nigerian presence on Fulton Street. Three types of fufu-like mash are available (pounded white yam, yam flour, and fermented cassava), to be matched with three stews (chicken, lamb, fish), and garnished with a host of additional sauces, some slimy, some flocculent, but all bearing the true flavor and texture of West African cooking. There are snacks, too, including the peanut-dusted kebabs called suya and the palm-oil-laced dish known simply as "beans." The dining room is spacious beyond your wildest dreams.
