If sliders (miniature hamburgers) are your thing, this new pair of stalls takes the genre as far as it's gonna go. The beef patties are fresh, hand formed, and griddle fried rather than frozen and steamed, as in the traditional White Castle formula. The generous mass of onions has been sauteed, adding flavor to the overcooked beef, and the puffy bun is nifty on its own. Though the burgers prices are a bargain, pickles are extra. C'mon guys! At the second location, 190 Bleecker Street, 212-254-2380, fries are adequate, a little thicker than you might like, making onion rings the better choice, and the soda selection is exemplary.
