There are perhaps a dozen places in the Arthur Avenue area where you can score a dreadnought sandwich, one of the signal achievements of Italian-American cuisine and, thankfully, bigger than a panini. Innovatively, Butchie's thrusts french fries into some of its sandwiches. According to the cook, local kids invented the idea.
