This Hong Kong-style bakery has some of the cheapest eats in Chinatown, and that's saying something. If you're craving a sweet, choose a pineapple roll, so called for its appearance rather than its flavor. Best of all, check out the rice noodle rolls called chee cheong fun. The noodle snacks sit out on a tray, rolled tightly for ease of eating out-of-hand, filled with scallions, sesame seeds, and very salty ground pork. Fork over 70 cents per roll, and the stern counterwoman will stick your noodles in a wax paper bag. They're chewy and satisfying, breakfast of frugal champions.
