This is a traditional department store in all but one respect: Century 21 is famed far and wide for its extensive, ever-rotating selection of deeply discounted (read: unwanted, and often uncool) high-end designer merchandise. While this is a great place to pick up tube socks or an inexpensive belt, most shoppers are fighting over last season's unsold follies. If you're hoping to score something to impress your friends, be patient: Dressing rooms are a disaster, racks are disorganized, the staff is distracted, and the competition is fierce. Not a fashion victim? There's a nice selection of housewares in the basement.
