Located on the eastern verge of Williamsburg, this Italian old-timer showcases seafood, veal, and pasta in abundant portions, although less predictable choices abound: a cold appetizer special one evening featured delicious zucchini-blossom pancakes, buffalo mozzarella, and breaded and fried cauliflower that was light, not sodden. Other favorites include potato gnocchi in a delicate meat sauce, and stracciatella, a rich Roman soup with masses of spinach and scrambled eggs.
