As its name not-so-subtly hints, heavy copper doors lead into the Copper Door Tavern's affirmatively dive-bar-derived surroundings. You know, lights dangling from the ceiling, the usual Bud Light and friends on tap, young 9-to-5ers mingling and ordering that Bud in $12 pitchers, etc. As standard as this scene might be, there is some self-awareness to it all, as betrayed by the bar's guest-bartender promotion. "Are you a 'cool' cat?" reads the advertisement. "Ever pretend you're Tom Cruise in Cocktail?" If your answers are "Kind of" and "Hell yes," then you're in the right place.
