Lines snake out the door at this variety store right across the street from the Al Aldeen Mosque. Religious articles and tracts dominate the front part of the store, while a giant glass case of fried chicken looms over the rear. The chicken is absolutely superb, lightly breaded with a little chile pepper added, crisp, and with a moist interior that means you can eat bite after bite without reaching for the water bottle. The business card redundantly reassures: "We serve only authentic hand slaughtered meats only." Other offerings include ribs, wings, burgers, and Caribbean-Chinese food.
