This splendid new fast food spot in Williamsburg specializes in doner, aka schwarma or gyro, and two varieties spin in the window's upright rotisseries: chicken and lamb. Paradoxically, the chicken is better, big jagged pieces stuck together with spices, delivering the merest burn to the lips. The lamb is fine, too, but the meat looks a little too much like lamb spam. Pita sandwiches are only $5, and come well-stuffed and topped with garlic yogurt. Nor are vegetarians and vegans left out, with an extensive selection of meze (small dishes) that include baby okra, sautéed spinach, bean salad, in addition to Middle Eastern standards like tabouli, falafel, and humus. The dairy-based desserts are also beguiling.
