The crowd is almost as good-looking as the décor at this sleek restaurant in Hell's Kitchen. Gleaming white brick is punctuated by glowing light fixtures, with walls of liquor bottles backlit behind the bar. Outside, a smattering of seats sits overlooking 9th Avenue. The menu is contemporary American with a plenty of international influences: white cheddar meatloaf, red curry chicken breast, house-made ravioli and a hefty sirloin burger are just a few of the entrees on the dinner menu, while lunch consists of mostly salads and sandwiches. Of course, no trendy restaurant would be complete without specialty cocktails, which Eatery has in spades. Coconut mojitos, blackberry margaritas, 11 different kinds of martinis, six beers on tap and a long international wine list ensure the young, well-dressed crowd will be sufficiently buzzed before hitting the bars. During the day, office workers in nearby midtown can order delivery service online through Eatery's website.—Keith Wagstaff
