The homemade ice cream is old-fashioned tasting, and the soda fountain drinks of the remote past are all available. There's no denying the antiquarian appeal of Eddie's Sweet Shop, founded in 1909 and showing every year of its age, from the uncomfortable wooden stools to the marble counter to the soda jets to the refrigerator that looks like it once required ice.
