Empire State Pride Agenda

16 W. 22nd St.
New York, NY 10010
The self-proclaimed largest LGBT civil rights group in the country, the Pride Agenda, is only a decade old, but has effected more legislative victories than hulkier and better-established groups. Its members work the halls of Albany more than they beat the pavement in NYC, but theyave done so effectively. This group has shown its strength on equality issues at the state level by working with the Department of Labor to provide equal unemployment benefits to same-sex partners, successfully lobbying the state legislature for stronger hate crime enforcement on college campuses, and winning more than $12.5 million in funds for LGBT health services.
