Praise the Lord and pass the fried chicken! The name of this gleaming new spot is an acronym for the Greater Bright Light Missionary Baptist Church. The aforementioned fried chicken is a paragon of its type-only lightly dusted with flour, and served with the usual vegetable sides, including good cornbread; predictable mac and cheese; and some very fine collards, despite the lack of smoked pork products therein. The menu is thankfully short; the staff unfailingly friendly. I'm heading back for the fried fish, pig feet, and barbecued rib sandwich.
