Some of the best Fujianese fish balls in the city can be found at this squeaky clean, spare establishment. There's no menu, and the proprietors don't speak much English, so a friendly charade game of point-and-smile is in order. Indicate that you‚d like the fish balls, and a giant bowl of salty broth, scallions, and the bouncy orbs will be ferried to your table. The balls are agreeably mild and spongy, not tough, and harbor a surprise filling of juicy, highly seasoned pork. There's also a warm, sweet porridge, likely made of taro root, garnished with black and white sesame seeds.
