An elaborately carved hunting clock surmounted by a stag head and dangling little dead animals is the main décor of this venerable Bavarian restaurant, founded in 1935. You may be attracted instead by the extensive list of tap and bottled beers, which runs from Germany, Belgium, and the UK to the New World and back again. The food is usually decent, especially the appetizer of bacon-wrapped bauernwurst, or anything else that involves sausages. I was not a big fan of their vaunted steak sandwich, though.
