The neighborhood's Dominican influence is evident in such offerings as rice with pigeon peas, served in lieu of the usual Mexican yellow rice at this comfortable coffee shop. The huevos rancheros are especially good, drenched in a fresh sauce of red bell peppers and profusely sided, and so is the flavorful pork tinga, heaped with abandon on the tostado. Weekends only: excellent white pozole.
