This West Village Mexican joint is painted in shades of orange and green, but it's not quite enough to liven up the rather sterile space fronting a quiet stretch of Downing Street. A guacamole bar lies at one end of the room, and while the avocado dip doesn't disappoint the palate, other small dishes (ceviches, quesadillas) lack oomph. Entrees like stuffed poblanos (one with cheese, the other with chicken) and shrimp enchiladas present decent options, but still aren't exciting enough to turn this eatery into a destination restaurant.
