The West Village's Lela Bar is a serious wine room. Serious in the sense that that's what they serve, and that's all they serve, with the exception of complementary small plates like cheese/charcuterie pairings and oysters. The room itself is small and casual but sophisticated, warmly lit with mahogany wood and tin ceilings. The wine list is comprehensive, with 200 selected bottles, all of which are offered per glass at a two-glass minimum. The location makes for an easy walk along the Hudson or a short hop over to one of the many restaurants and cafes in this chic but still residential-feeling neighborhood.
