Named after the Texas town that New Yorker Donald Judd turned into an art refuge, Marfa is a bar and cocktail lounge with a menu of Texas food edging into what was once called (with apologies to the politically correct here) "white-trash cooking.? The menu features a really great chicken-fried steak, but mediocre fried chicken; wonderful coleslaw, but disappointing ribs; incredible mac-and-cheese, but few invented cocktails. You get the picture - the menu"s a mixed bag, and if you can find dishes you like, it could be your comfort-food hang. With an emphasis on small dishes it calls tapas, it could also be a good pit stop for cocktails, or its PBR-and-a-shot special. Owned by the same folks who brought you Lucky Cheng"s, an Asian drag bar.
