This Franco-Scottish restaurant caters to the cool lads and lassies who drink more than they eat-but they're no worse off for it, since the food unfortunately bores more than it delights. Best to get a whiskey at the lively bar or go for one of the excellent dessert options. Try the cranberry upside-down cake-a happy mash-up of autumnal tea-time pastry and sweet stickiness of summer camp-or the peanut butter sandwiches, perched atop a cascade of caramelized bananas. Despite the hubbub and glitz (and very friendly service), though, the staying power of this establishment remains questionable, given the fickle nature of trend-seekers. But hey, the real-life Mary Queen of Scots got the ax early on, too.
