Shops peddling macarons can be found on nearly every corner in New York, but the colorful cookies at this new French pastry shop in Greenwich Village simply blow the competition out of the water. The store's owner, Olivier Dessyn, trained in Paris under Pierre Hermé, which is like learning to play tennis from Andre Agassi. Flaky croissants, madeleines, and brownies round out the mix, plus a few sandwiches should you be seeking savory fare. No seating here, so you'll have to take your treats home with you-if you can make it that far without eating them.
