Mona's is a laid-back, lived-in neighborhood bar with no pretensions about what it is. There are a couple of decent beers on tap, scratched-up wooden booths, a good rock 'n' roll jukebox, and a nice enough pool table. It's a cozy, comforting presence on trendy Avenue B.
