Burritos are second only to corner slices when it comes to best for soaking up booze after a late-night bender. That's why Neighburrito's location on a stretch of Rivington Street loaded with drinking establishments seems so perfect. It's barely more than a stand, one long wooden counter running through the middle of the tiny, sparely decorated space where diners can rest their burritos and eat standing up until closing time, which is 2am on weekend nights. All burritos are made to order and come with a side of chips and salsa. Fill your burrito with carnitas, tilapia, crumbled tofu, grilled chicken breast, spiced steak and more; add guacamole for only $1.50. You can get the same fillings stuffed into tacos (three to an order) and quesadillas or assemble a burrito of your choosing by mixing and matching the 10 different proteins with the13 different fixings. Neighburrito doesn't carry alcohol, but you can get homemade hibiscus and tamarind drinks, which are a lot healthier for you anyways.—Keith Wagstaff
