This deceptively large East Village sushi spot specializes in hosting big parties of young revelers. The sushi is cheap, especially when you use the 50 percent off coupon the restaurant puts on all of its take-out menus, bringing the price of specialty rolls like the Lover Roll (salmon, crab and avocado) down to $6 and regular cut rolls down to as low as $3. If sushi isn't your thing, you can order everything from teriyaki and tempura to udon noodles and yakitori skewers. Enter past the fish tank and take a seat at the long sushi bar or at a table in the narrow dining room, which seems to go back forever, decorated with Japanese motifs like delicate screens, Japanese characters and traditional paintings. Big parties often opt for the giant, sushi-filled "Love Boats" while lunchtime visitors often go for the lunch boxes filled with teriyaki, miso soup, shumai and a California roll.—Keith Wagstaff
