Those looking for a little entertainment with their dinner should head over to this Japanese hibachi on the Bronx's City Island. Diners sit around hefty tables equipped with sizable grills where chefs in traditional Japanese uniforms perform acrobatic acts of cookery, flipping and spinning food in the air while smoke rises from a sizzling array of meat and seafood. Choose from marinated steak, chicken, fish, shrimp, scallops and more, available separately or in combinations. Japanese-inspired cocktails like the Sake Julep, sweet frozen cocktails and a variety of hot and cold sakes, and domestic and international beers make sure the atmosphere stays lively. The restaurant is a natural fit for birthday parties; it offers private VIP rooms for groups (with a minimum total order of $250) and a free meal for the birthday boy or girl, provided they can show a picture ID proving their date of birth.—Keith Wagstaff
