The granddad of Brooklyn pita parlors boasts a tandoori-style oven right in the front window, from which fly splendid hot pitas and, especially, the Israeli flour tortilla known by the comical name of lafa. The kebab sandwiches made therewith in the manner of a burrito include lots of hummus, Israeli salad, and-tucked inside with everything else-french fries! Pour on the orange Yemeni mango sauce, which is as astringent as a chewed aspirin. Of the kebabs, the best is "Iraqi lamb," a ground-meat extravaganza laced with onion and parsley, but the baby chicken is good too.
