This neighborhood Italian serves major portions of solid home cooking in a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere. The fettucine with pesto is a revelation, with a buttery sauce of chopped fresh basil instead of the usual dense green goo. A special of crab cannelloni had an uncanny quantity of fresh crustacean, set off by a tangy puttanesca. Service can be slow when the room is crowded, and the proprietor can be a little too friendly, but some like it that way.
