The newest offering from the Fatty Crew restaurant group is a Thai-Filipino hybrid on the Lower East Side, helmed by former Top Chef contestant Leah Cohen. Feast on a wobbly, braised pig’s head or a hot and rich red curry rice salad—the menu is full of eager-to-please dishes with nice flavors but little depth. The waitstaff appears to be having some fun in this crowded, rowdy dining room, though the service often feels clumsy. But choose your meal carefully and a decent night could be in the cards.
