You can spot this little family-owned bakery by the cheery window display, a large window with mismatched letters and stacks of baked goods next to word "CUPCAKES" spray-painted in rainbow colors. Inside, the whole bakery is essentially taken up by glass display counters, with barely enough room for the couple of stools that are in there. Funky artwork occupies the walls while books line small shelves, with a chalkboard high above listing different coffee drinks. All of the baked goods here are certified kosher, with several vegan, sugar-free and gluten-free products available as well. Sweets include cupcakes made with things like toasted pistachios and lavender, as well as whole cakes in flavors like red velvet and carrot cake. Don't have much of a sweet tooth? Pinisi also bakes savory treats like gruyere scones and biscuits. The bakery can also create custom cakes for special events like birthdays and weddings.—Keith Wagstaff
