New York once again proves itself to be the cradle of pizza innovation. Posto specializes in a newfangled sort of pie, with a thin crackling crust something like Otto's, and toppings that range from doctrinaire to world-roaming. The plain slice is estimable, better still are the individual nine-inch pies, including several set configurations that, at around $9 each, are not a bad deal. Our favorite is the "Italian tuna melt," which features imported tuna, homemade mozzarella, and purple onions. Alas, the cheese used on other pies is often not as good.
