It's tiny and red and has a tiny menu. But still, Red Café manages to cover the bases in American bistro eating. The salads are big enough to share, especially when there's a poached egg, lardoons, and croutons involved (the chicory salad). There are consistently good daily soups, pastas, just interesting enough fish dishes, and great burgers (even a pork burger!). An easy, unthrilling neighborhood place, especially good for two.
