Nothing better on a sultry summer afternoon than mool naeng myon, a Beatles-haircut-worth of buckwheat noodles deposited in a light, ice-chilled beef broth, along with sliced brisket, vegetables, and a boiled egg. Shin Po specializes in Korean mandoo dumplings, which can be had not only in the usual fried and steamed formats, but also in several apt assemblages: topping red fish cake in douk bokky mandoo, say, or ringing a chile-dressed salad in twigim bibim mandoo. The café'as giant glass box has become a bona fide Northern Boulevard landmark.
