"Roti shop" modestly hints at the gastronomic wonders within, which include the entire Guyanese and Indo-Caribbean menu. The rotis themselves are bigger, lusher, and cheaper than most, costing just a little more than $5 for, say, a goat roti stuffed with incredible amounts of meat. As is done in Guyana, you can pick any vegetables - from pureed pumpkin to steamed okra to tomato varta - to be added to your roti, which can be made with a choice of three flatbreads: dal poori, buss-up shot, or sada roti. The double-wide steam table also holds Guyanese-Chinese fried rices and lo meins, chicken done a half-dozen island ways, and there's even roast pork, which would be unthinkable in most Trinidadian places. The full bar and capacious seating is also unusual for this type of restaurant.
