This Cobble Hill carryout joint, with a few tables for eating in, defines "soul" as broadly as possible to include Afro-Caribbean and even African cooking. Chowing down on a giant buffet at the apartment of some friends recently, our favorite dishes included smothered turkey wings, jerk chicken, "Southern dipped" fried chicken, and, especially, the perfect catfish fillets covered with a spice-laden crumb mixture, which had obviously been cooked to order. The cornbread stuffing was way too sweet, and the beef ribs too unmeaty, but we're anxious to return for the hoppin' john-rice with black-eyed peas.
