The slogan is,;An Expedition to the Spiceland; and the well-decorated interior boasts a glass wall of water, at this ambitious Indian restaurant that might have crawled down from East 58th Street. The menu's tandoori section alone merits a visit, including a minty cornish game hen hariyali, the buttery flatbread lacha paratha, roast quails, and multi-vegetable patties called by the improbably meaty name of hara bara kebab. The appetizer choices include a selection of chaats, and a crabcake attributed to Cochin, a coastal area in southern India. Despite the farflung nature of the menu, it remains Punjabi in spirit.
