Park Slope's Chipshop stands alongside the West Village's A Salt and Battery as an establishment that slavishly attempts to re-create the English fish-and-chips shop, with awesome success. While Chipshop doesn't have quite the range of fish offered by its Village precursor, it does provide the full complement of deep-fried sausages, mushy peas, battered candy bars, bangers and mash, and other culinary arcana. The cod and chips, a generously sized fillet with good fries, is particularly recommended.
