In case the name didn't tip you off, this Soho bakery claims to serve the best chocolate cake in the world. While that particular point may be argued, it's hard to argue with the mini-chain's success as it boasts three additional Brazilian locations and one in Spain. The flourless cakes are made with a combination of chocolate meringue and chocolate mousse, in both traditional (50 percent cocoa) and bittersweet (70 percent cocoa) variations. Top off your slice or whole cake with fruit, whipped cream or gelato. For lunch, try one of the gourmet sandwiches, including smoked salmon and organic turkey breast, or the Portuguese empanadas. The cute little cafe, done up French Colonial style with white moldings and mirrored tables, also offers coffee from North Carolina-based roasters Counter Culture, hot chocolate and several freshly squeezed juices. The space itself isn't huge, meaning you'll probably be standing shoulder-to-shoulder with a line of tourists and Soho model types.
