The Kimono Lounge

62 Thomas
New York, NY 10013
After you get past the entranceway, which looks like a compulsively arranged product of a raid of a noodle shop in Osaka (rice bowls and sake vases form the pillars, and a wall seems built of stacked bolts of silky kimono fabric), all is lovely and bright. Glowing hardwood and light upholstery is luxurious without feeling awkward, although you may feel a little out of place if you havenat eaten at Megu downstairs (especially if you canat afford to, because a simple sakitini is $16).
