Sometimes, the huge BBQ brand of Koreatown restaurant is just not what you're up for, and that's when Kunjip is perfect. The room is simple and relaxing, even with a line out the door. In summertime, get the traditional nang myun--cold beef broth with buckwheat noodles, super-thin slices of beef, even thinner slices of apple, and a boiled egg. Be aware that most of the appetizers are big enough to be entrees, so two can eat beyond their fill for $30 easy. Open 24 hours.
