Inside the MOMA, Danny Meyer's The Modern has two levels of eating. There is the Bar Room, where diners are given a menu with sections "One," "Two," and "Three." But don't assume that means "small," "medium," and "large." In fact, one and two are both appetizers, and three is a "half entrée." A big group who is eager to taste as much as possible will have their chance, once they figure out all the math. The servings are tapas-sized, but very elegantly presented. Some favorites: sweetbread ravioli, arctic char tartar, braised pork cheeks with sauerkraut. The dining room is more formal, with jacket required.
