While this expansive Japanese restaurant and sushi bar wouldn't turn heads in the East Village, it's an oddity just off the Columbia campus. The sushi is a solid B, with the more common fish like yellowtail, tuna, and eel preferred, while the lunch and weekday specials are a wonderful deal, but even the regular prices fall far short of being expensive, and the food is invariably well prepared.
