Urban Justice Center

123 Williams St.
New York, NY 10038
This nonprofit group of lawyers offers free legal advice in soup kitchens, takes on personal pro bono cases for the disadvantaged or overlooked, and files class action lawsuits that can bring about national change and set legal precedents. Staff members also conduct social and legal research in uncharted areas of policy. Basically, the UJC watches the backs of every NYC disadvantaged population, from street vendors to transgender youth. Support it with funds or donation of time.
