The reclining statue of Saint Cono-who waves at diners from the top of the china cupboard-is your tip-off that the proprietors hail from the hilltop town of Teggiano, Italy. Amid a flock of predictable dishes, there are a few amazing ones. Penne all'Arrabiat, which smothers the pasta, is a hearty tomato sauce spiked with arugula and thick slices of the long green chile prized in the region. Stewed with sausage and white beans, a side of escarole makes a great shared appetizer. The restaurant is sometimes mobbed in the early evenings-so eat fashionably late.
