The contemporary American locavore craze comes to Wall Street dressed up for the suit-and-tie crowd. Located on the third floor of the Andaz Wall Street hotel, it definitely feels a bit slicker than most farm-to-table restaurants. It¹s airy and expansive, featuring a great view of the open kitchen with its giant marble chef¹s stations. The silvery color palette and sleek furniture fits the clientele, consisting of sharply dressed businessmen and hotel guests. The food, prepared by executive chef Maximo Lopez May, is all sourced from farms from the Hudson Valley. The entrees definitely have a comforting, earthy quality to them. A few examples: pork belly confit with sautéed greens, braised duck leg and grilled wild striped bass, plus the requisite burger, here dressed up with tartar sauce and placed in a brioche bun. The wine list is heavy with reds and whites from the Napa Valley and Oregon's Willamete Valley.—Keith Wagstaff
