It was a genius idea: Combining an espresso parlor with a breakfast taco place. The taco part, at least, is fab. From a choice of one, you get a single white-corn-flour tortilla, slightly crisped on the grill, stuffed with scrambled eggs; Oaxacan white cheese; a thick homemade hot salsa, something like you find on Moroccan shakshuka; and crumbled jalapeno potato chips—which have virtually no impact on the taco at all, so lush and overstuffed is it. The only other food choice is the Waldorf, an inscrutably named paper tray filled with about twice the amount of the same stuff, only with eggs fried to order. For an extra dollar, you can have chorizo on either. Eat at raised tables inside, or tree stumps outside. The coffee? Via Oslo Roasters are not so good.
