All of a sudden there are a half dozen Lan Zhou hand pulled noodles places in Sunset Park's Chinatown vying for your patronage. This is the one that takes the cuisine further than it's ever gone before, with a fuller menu, including (gasp!) appetizers and a couple of vegetable sides. You can, for example, get rabbit in your noodle soup, cooked Fujianese style in red rice-wine lees, or beef feet with your rice noodles. Finally, we have the city's second appearance ever (after Eldridge Street's Sheng Wang) of the legendary "peel noodles," which can be had in soups or in a vegetarian stir fry with egg. These free-form pellucid noodles are highly recommended.
